~interior wood piles, a good or bad idea?~

Probably for about the past year I have become obsessed with the look of interior wood piles.

They have a modern rustic look to them, are functional and stylish at the same time.

I would love to replicate this look BUT, we have a gas fireplace, so it would be more for looks and not functional at all. I don't know if I am willing to give up valuable space for this.

Also, bugs? I don't want to bring a bunch of critters into the house.

What are your thoughts on this?

Who knew a log pile could look so sleek and modern?

Doesn't this just look so cozy?

I have actually had this pinned and printed out because I swore I'd make one someday.

And then theres this photo that makes me want to run to the woods and start chopping trees down, haha.

So what do you think? Do you like the look, or is it really not practical with a gas fireplace?
