~container gardening~

I have 3 of these metal galvanized troughs that I buried in the ground years ago with the intent to do some vegetable and fruit plantings. And I did one year, but I found out I don't get enough sun and am thinking of other places to use them.
So I turned to Pinterest for a little inspiration and thought I'd share them with you too!
I like the idea of elevating them on a simple wood stand. This would be easy to make too.

I love combining the container with a vertical wall piece for climbing plants too!
A great idea if you need to hide something unsightly on your house.

Even Pottery Barn caught onto this trend, and they are on sale too!

This is what I had envisioned in my mind for our yard......

Wouldn't it be great to have one of these on your deck outside your kitchen with fresh herbs and vegetables?

This is a great way to create a privacy fence or screen.

I love how these containers blend into the landscape.

And here is a article on how to age new galvanized metal that I think is pretty cool.
Finally, a link to a ton of different galvanized containers!

xoxo
