~my Dash & Albert rug designs~{PLEASE VOTE!}

Hello friends!
Today is an exciting day for me.
A short wile ago I was contacted by the wonderful company, Annie Selke, the maker of Dash And Albert rugs.
They asked me if I would like to participate in a blogger challenge in partnership with
Apartment Therapy and design 3 rugs, one of which may go into production one day!

I was totally flattered, the company I am in I value highly, and think the world of.
I had exactly 25 days to design 3 rugs and I was excited about the challenge!
Then I remembered I had a daughter graduating, a grad party to plan, a building to finish the siding on, etc, etc, etc.

But I made up my mind that this was too good of an opportunity to pass by.
Dash And Albert is one of my favorite rug companies. I have 2 of their rugs that I have used as runners on my stairs:

Today you will have the chance to vote on the rug designs right here.
Let me tell you, I am blown away!
There are several rounds of voting that will happen, and even if I don't make it past the first round, I am still honored I was chosen to participate.

So, would you like to see what I came up with?

Let's start with the basics.

I designed this rug for two reasons.
One, I love stripes, and two, I love the combination of charcoal and orange.
This rug could be used in so many different rooms of your home!
It has a lot of texture to it so there is some play to it.

I thought it would be fun to show you all how it might look in a kids room:

The second and third designs came from a nod to us living on a lake.
My kids love to fish in the summer and having a lake vibe year round is important to me.
We are a relaxed, leave your shoes on, kick your feet up kinda bunch, so this should be fun.

They are essentially the same design but in two different color ways:

Introducing, Blue fish:
I think this would look great in a huge area rug which is why I am showing it to you in a fun family room setting.
But I can also picture it in front of a kitchen sink, or near a back or front door!

and here is her brother, Grey fish:

This is for the more neutral loving hearts like mine.
Although it can be amped up with punches of color like I have shown below.

I had so much fun designing these rugs.
I feel so lucky to be able to do what I do!
If you think you could ever see one of these in production, even in your own home,
 I would love your vote!
Every vote is so much appreciated.
You can vote right here.
If you'd like to share this page with your friends and family, I wouldn't stop you :)

I really hope you like these! Don't forget to check out the other designs too!

xoxo
