Sometimes I feel like the last minute thrown together table settings can sometimes be the most beautiful. On this table I used everything I already had, added in some greenery both faux and real, and I think it turned out very simple but very do able.
It seems our color scheme this holiday season is a lot of blacks, white, creams, and some green and a bit of red thrown in.
So I decided to set the table with our everyday vintage white ironstone plates and some black salad dishes.
The napkins are actually pieces of fabric that I just cut down and folded into a napkin.
The salad plates were looking a little boring, so I added in some faux greenery from Pottery Barn years ago.
These little nutcracker name tag holders I bought on a crazy after Christmas sale last year at Lower of all places.
I placed a little white mini bottle brush tree next to each nutcracker.
The cedar in the vase has been there for weeks. I like to add white lilies from the grocery store, and I just change them out when they die, leaving the greenery.
I am really not that good at taking pictures at night, but I loved the reflection of the Christmas tree in this photo.
Our Joy To The World sign is the perfect black and white backdrop to this table setting.
Check back tomorrow to see how I created a festive dessert bar on the sideboard.
Please see how some of my friends have decorated their tables for the season, right below!
