Our home isn't huge. It's around 2,000 square feet. Which isn't tiny either, but with 2 kids, a husband, 3 labs, and a bunny, we need to keep it functional, clean, and organized just to stay sane.
Here are some of my tips for making the most out of small spaces.
Multi purpose furniture is a must
The leather chairs in our living room are actually recliners. This eliminates the need for ottomans or stool to put your feet up on. These particular recliners are narrow so they work well in small spaces.
Cody's bed has a twin trundle so when he has sleepovers he can easily pull it out and it's ready to go!
I just got this bench for our dining room for extra seating. The cool thing about it is the crates pull out for storage. Follow them on Instagram to see if they will be in your area, they travel all over!
Use baskets to hide things
These olive buckets on top of our shelves hide a plethora of things.
Dvd's, misc. remotes, games, etc.
This basket {similar} holds a ton of my decorating books under the coffee table.
Use the backs of doors
This rack mounts right to the door so you don't see those over the door hooks from the front.
Because we don't have a ton of room for storage in our laundry room, this helps out a ton.
I hope these tips help you in organizing your small space!
xoxo
