~Rae Dunn inspired sign how to~

For thrifty Thursday today I am going to show you how I made this cute chalkboard sign, and at the end of this post, you will see how you can create a sign of your own, in the Rae Dunn style lettering.

Here is what I started with.
I found this chalkboard sign at a thrift store and like I always say, I thought it had good bones.

However, I didn't really care for the wine label, I thought it looked a little dated.

So here is what I did to make it more "current."
I taped off the label and painted it with a few coats of Annie Sloan Pure White paint.

I found this font, called "the skinny" from dafont and it is very similar to the popular Rae Dunn lettering.

If you go to the sight and type in your wording you will be given a "preview" of it, as shown below.

You can then do a screenshot of your wording and copy and paste it into a word document, adjusting the size to what you need.

Print out your wording and using this technique, transfer it onto a piece of wood to make a sign.

xoxo
