Part 3 in this fixer upper style design series and today we are looking at the entry.
The small tiny entry which really isn't even an entry.
When you was into this house you are in the living room and straight ahead is the kitchen bar.
The homeowner already has these stools picked out which I think are lovely.
They will go above in the space I circled.
When you walk in the front door, which I would love to see be a dutch door painted black, I would add this console to the right on that wall.
Over the console table I would love to see a round mirror.
A durable entry rug is a must and this one should do the trick and tie in with the living room rug.
The table itself will act as a place to set keys down, mail, {I love using these for mail! etc.
This white pitcher is a classic and would look great with fresh wildflowers in it.
On the lower shelf of the console, a stack of books and a basket for magazines or even kids shoes.
The other side of the door by the bedroom can have one or two hooks for a bag or coat.
The coat closet is what you see in the picture above. It will have sliding barn doors~love.
On either side of the bar opening I would love to see these lights.
I am not sure if with the barn door, anything can go on the wall to the right of the coat closet, and I would maybe even opt to leave it blank so that your eye has a place to rest.
One more room in this home and that is the trickiest one of all, I hope you will come back to see!
xoxo
